Giving teachers the tools they need
This project aims to support teachers in their efforts to prepare children for high stakes testing (i.e., standardized tests that are used to determine eligibility for graduation as part of the No Child Left Behind act). Carnegie Learning and researchers at CMU and WPI are developing a web based "Assistment" system for middle school math. The goal of our project is to design and develop the teacher interface for the Assistment system in the form of an interactive web site. We must first gain a detailed and accurate sense of how teachers are approaching the problem of preparing their students for these high stakes tests.
