Our research shows that while striving to produce and develop as many ideas as possible, MEDRAD’Äôs inventors view Intellectual Property (IP) documentation as a nuisance, which leads to poor documentation. This practice leaves the company open to possible legal issues and the company has suffered in cases where insufficient or improperly maintained records have caused it to lose IP that could not be claimed or could not be protected.
Our team conducted various user research and usability evaluation sessions with our target user group and leveraged the results to document the inventor’Äôs needs and current practices. In addition, we created a prototype solution to the needs using an iterative approach of design and user testing.
