Socialstream's prototype went through ten revisions, incorporating data from an additional 23 user studies. Every revision of the prototype was driven by user feedback. MakeTools and Concept Validation provided early feedback from users for the direction of our prototype, and the Think Aloud Protocol identified issues in higher fidelity prototypes. While these user studies drove feature decisions, designs were also reviewed with evaluative methods such as Cognitive Walkthrough and Heuristic Evaluation. Combined, data from both users and analytical methods supports the motivation for each feature in the final prototype.
